Our school is an excellent and exciting place for children to learn and grow. The talented teachers, support staff, parents, and community work together to provide a safe, nurturing, and fun learning environment that contributes to student success. We are dedicated to the education of our students, and we are committed to setting the highest possible standard for student academic achievement. Education is a partnership that includes you, your children, and our staff. We will provide outstanding teachers, a caring and supportive staff, and a safe and fun learning environment for your children. As our partners, we need you to instill in your children the value of education. Some of the best ways to do this are making sure your child arrives each day on time and ready to learn, helping them with homework, and talking with them about ideas and topics that they're studying in school. I also strongly encourage you to read to and with your children, regardless of their age, as this is one of the best ways to foster their love of reading while building their skills. San Tan Heights is your school. We want you to feel that you are a welcome and integral part of this social learning community. Everyone including teachers, parents, secretaries, administrators, instructional assistants, the custodian, cafeteria assistant, district support staff, and of course the students, are continually learning, growing, and working together to enrich the learning environment and develop social skills. We know that learning together and from one another is one of the most powerful ways to learn, and it also builds relationships and community. Thank you for trusting us with the education and caring development of your child. Feel free to schedule an appointment with your child’s teacher or myself if we can help answer any questions that you may have. Family support is a critical link to student achievement. We want to hear from you! Respectfully,
Laurie L. Black, Principal |
